Clubs and societies

For such a modest-sized village, a surprising number of active clubs and societies flourish – there really is something for everybody!

Badminton Club

Bowling Club
Based at the attractive bowling green near the village centre.

Camera Club

Conservative Association

Cricket Club
A new ground at Venn Lane has been developed in time for the 2008 season.

Gardening Club

Loam Rangers
Members take green waste to the Loam Rangers site near the school for composting. Compost created at the site is then available for use by members on their gardens.

Medau

Mothers' Union

Petanque Club

Royal British Legion

Short Mat Bowls
Stoke Fleming Magazine
Not exactly a club or society, but this is
probably the best place to mention
the existence of a splendid village
magazine. The magazine editor
can be contacted by email on
magazine@stokeflemingdevon.co.uk.
The Stoke Fleming Magazine is
distributed every month to all 600
or so households in the village and
is also available from either the
Premier Garage or the Village
Store and Post Office. It is entirely
funded by voluntary contributions plus local advertisers.

Stoke Fleming Horticultural Society (Hort & Sport)
The Society exists to promote Horticulture, Agriculture, Homecrafts and Handicrafts in Stoke Fleming and the neighbourhood.     More . . .

Stoke Fleming Operatic and Dramatic Society (SODS)
High quality amateur dramatic productions are regularly staged in the Village Hall.     More . . .

Table Tennis

Women's Institute

Youth Club

It would be appreciated if club secretaries or chairmen would provide information about their clubs for inclusion on this website.
It is envisaged that a short paragraph for each club will appear on this page with a "more" link to fresh pages giving additional information.
Please email webmaster@stokefleming.org.uk.    Many thanks.
