Stoke Fleming

Stoke Fleming is a quintessential English village with an active church and a "proper" village pub at its centre. Stoke Fleming is adjacent to the bustling, historic port of Dartmouth. All the amenities of Dartmouth are close by, yet Stoke Fleming is delightfully tranquil – as indeed is the rest of the parish away from the village itself (see maps page).

Stoke Fleming's apparent tranquility is, perhaps, deceptive – a surprising amount of activity does take place as is evidenced by the amazing selection of lively groups shown on the clubs and societies page. Many of these meet in the Village Hall which with the pub and the church is a third centre for social life.

Stoke Fleming is located within the South Hams in an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with splendid coastal and rural scenery (see the locality pages). It is a great place to live – and a great place to visit.
